WILLOW
Willow is one of our newer recruits and can turn her hoof to anything. She is a lovely piebald cob who is a super allrounder. Willow prefers slightly more established riders and loves to jump, hack and has had some good dressage scores too!
ALBERT
Albert is our newest recruit to NMW. He is just 4 years old and a Shire x ID. He loves people and food but hasn't yet learned about personal space! Albert will be be having fun and continuing his education for a while before joining our lessons. Watch this space for his progress!
MONTY
Monty belongs to Alison Bradford who rehomed him from a rescue centre in Ireland where he was in a group of other horses who were abandoned as foals. He lived with Alison for 4 years where he was cared for like royalty and taught all the basic life skills. He was then sent to be professionally broken in by Steph Slater before coming to NMW to start his career teaching people to ride. He loves learning new things and is a favourite of many of our clients.
GARRY
Garry was bought from Glasgow and is one of the older, more experienced ponies at NMW. He is great for giving riders confidence, great to learn to canter on and is great fun to ride. He can also be quirky when he wants to be!
JIMMY
Jimmy is loved by everyone who has ever laid eyes on him. His cuteness means he gets away with everything! He stays in a super rhythm which is great for our new riders.
COMET
Comet is one of our newest recruits. He is a super cute black cob who is popular with our younger clients. He is a chilled guy who is great for lead rein and just off the lead rein lessons. He can also turn his hooves to jumping with a more experienced rider.
WOODSIDE OREO
Oreo is one of our younger recruits who was bought from a private home in Dundee. He has learned so much in his time with us and he loves jumping. He is used in every type of lesson and is a favourite amongst our young riders. He is a really special boy
CHARLIE
Charlie is an older boy who is used in our advanced lessons. He is such a kind horse who loves people. We are currently furthering his education in showjumping. He loves to give anything a try and often hacks out with owner Rachael.
TINO
Tino is 16.1hh and we have had him since April 2023. He likes hacking, jumping and polework. He can carry a bit of weight and is popular with our male riders.
ROMAN
Roman is 13.2, super cute, safe as houses, loves cuddles and gives everything a try!
NACHO
Nacho - nickname "Cheesy Balls" is a 15hh young American Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred. Such an honest boy, he is good at jumping, polocrosse, poles and hacking.
DAISY & ELVIS
Daisy & Elvis are Miniature Shetland ponies in their late teens. This super cute pair were quite shy to start with but now give lots of cuddles, don't mind being groomed and dressed up, boost mental health and help out with our stable management sessions.
BERTIE
Bertie is a 14hh Highland pony who loves to hack but isn't such a fan of jumping (only small ones are tolerated!)Â He loves children and is a popular choice with our novice riders.
STORM
Storm is 12.2 and is on loan to NMW. She was backed here and is progressing her ridden career. Storm does lead rein classes and off the lead rein with more advanced children.
MINNIE
Minnie is 13.1h and came to NMW for schooling but we decided to keep her. She is still learning but super cute and proving popular already with our clients.
MISSIE
Missie is an older mare who knows her job and is happy to jump or do flat. She's not so sure about the games equipment or travelling so likes to stay at home.
BEAR
Bear is 14hh and arrived at the end of 2022. Bear loves to jump, hack, do poles, good at flat work. She's not always the bravest at games and polocrosse but tries and loves being pampered and groomed.
DASH
Dash is a super cool younger boy around 14hh and is on loan to NMW. He's still learning himself, especially with jumping, therefore not for complete beginners just yet.
DRIFTER
Drifter is a 15hh sweet mare who wants to be everyone's friend. She has lots of experience eventing round 90cm/1m tracks and is a great confidence giver for all levels on the flat and over jumps.
DJ
DJ is a 15.2hh Connemara gelding. He loves jumping, cross country and also goes nicely on the flat. This handsome boy is great for teaching our more experienced riders all the disciplines required for eventing.
OSCAR
Oscar is our Equicizer who is sponsored by W&D Dawson Haulage, SRUC and NMW. He likes to go on his travels to racing education days and careers events and is an invaluable training tool for clients at NMW.
TROJAN
We’re happy to welcome Trojan as the newest member of our team! He is committed to providing students with the skills and tools necessary to continue their learning journey :)
