Coach
Carys has been around horses and ponies from the age of 5, and had planned on being a coach not long after. Carys has worked her way up through Pony Club and is now a Coach at NMW and enjoys working with riders to progress their skills.
In Carys’ spare time you’ll often find her spending time with her own horse Scrabble blasting music!

TERESA MACLEOD
Advanced Coach
Teresa is one of the Advanced Coaches at NMW and has worked in the equestrian industry for 20 years. Teresa holds her BHS Level 3 Complete Coach and BHS Stage 4 Riding and Care qualifications along with UKCC Level 2 (specialism carriage driving) and first aid certificate. She says she doesn't have any hobbies because she made her hobby her profession and it's all-consuming!! In her (limited) spare time she loves to travel and take her dog Morgan for long walks.
SOPHIE CARDNO
Yard Assistant / Coaching Assistant
Sophie is one of our fantastic yard assistants at NMW. Sophie is a big hit with some of our younger riders and often leads the ponies for our beginners or will be on board a horse giving our younger/ less experienced clients a rider to follow and help them in their lessons. Sophie spends her spare time with her own horse Tom learning as many new skills as possible.
ELLIE WILL
Yard Assistant / Coach
Ellie (otherwise known as Willy) is another one of our fantastic Yard Assistants at NMW. Ellie has achieved her Horse Scotland Level 1 Coaching Certificate, is trained in first aid and also helps with mucking out, getting ponies tacked up and ready for lessons and coaches riding lessons and stable management for children up to her age. She enjoys taking part in lots of activities with her pony Ralphy and will sometimes do some schooling with ponies which are new to the NMW team.
LIBBY MURRAY
Yard Assistant / Coaching Assistant
Libby is doing a fantastic job assisting with the general day to day running of the academy and making sure all our horses and ponies are fed, watered and well cared for. Libby has completed her BHS Stage 1 and first aid training and helps with our Walkies sessions for young clients, lead rein / beginner sessions and stable management. She keeps her ponies Molli and Cookie on livery at NMW and they love to do jumping, games and hacking together.
TRACY GRANT
Team Manager / Admin / PT Coach
Tracy is a super asset to the NMW Riding Academy team. She makes sure the day to day operations at NMW run smoothly and everyone is well infomed. She also is a safe guarding officer at NMW and makes sure PVGs are up to date for our staff and volunteers. Tracy also has her Equine First Aid Certificate and her Horse Scotland Level 1 Coaching Certificate, allowing her to do walkies sessions and coach some beginner lessons.
JULES LAMB
Coach
Jules has been around horses all her days and now runs Coach Jules Livery. She is an amateur show jumper and CCUK Level 2 Coach with first aid certificate and lives on her family farm in Aberdeenshire with her own horses and pets. In her spare time, she loves leisure riding, competing and getting involved with anything horsey, whether with my own horses or helping others. Jules also has a real fascination and passion for horse behaviour and the relationship between horse and human
EMILIE SINCLAIR
PT Yard Assistant
Emilie (or Specky as most people would know her by) has been around horses and ridden since she was 11. She does a great job helping to keep the NMW yard clean and tidy and makes sure all our horses and ponies are well cared for. Emilie has always loved animals and has just recently bought her own horse Paddy, who she keeps on livery at NMW. Her and Paddy mostly enjoy lots of cuddles, dressage, sharing food and most definitely show-jumping!
LEAH STEWART
Coach
Leah has spent her life around horses and has spent lots of time gaining some qualifications which includes her BHS stage 2 complete and is currently working towards her stage 3. Alongside teaching, she is also a trainee saddle fitter. In her spare time, Leah loves showjumping and spending time with her young horses.
CHLOE O'HAGAN
Weekend Yard Assistant
Chloe does a great job during busy weekends at NMW. She makes sure all the horses and ponies are well looked after and gets them ready for their lessons with clients.
XENA
Guard Dog
Xena is the smallest member of our team but has the loudest voice. She is our guard dog who welcomes everyone into the office and loves a cuddle on the knee of any spectators.
